47.5 grains is what i shoot out of my 6.5x284 and it shoots about 2850.
i heard that the 6.5 habu is actually spelled haboo, stands for Have Another Barrel On ORDER just funnin' you Ron, any 6.5 is a good cartridge, esp. that record shootin' 6.5x284. cliffe

seriously, with your 47.5 at 2850 what kind of throat life are you getting??
i'm shootin the 147.8 CLINCH RIVER vld's at 2940 with h4350 - 48.6 gr. i have 534 rds through my 6.5x284 TRUEFILGHT [chambered with KIFF's .297 no turn reamer] and it's shootin great with .013 throat errosion. - have put that bbl in the box for the time being. have a 8.5 twist krieger in 6.5x284 [threaded for rpa/quad] FOR SALE if anyone is interested.
the 6.5 HABU is showing great promise will shoot rl-17,varget, h4350 loads with little or no pressure sign. all loads in the 39.5 to 42.5 range, vel. 2840-2954. don't know about throat life yet - with my 6,5x08 HABU i got 2361 rds throught it before it starting leakin a few out -- with .058 jump - how about them 142 smk?
