A 1:8" twisted 22-250 pushes the 80/90gr's with ease to 1K.

223s are cheaper to shoot, heat up the barrel alot less and have a little less muzzle blast. The 22-250 shoots like a laser with lighter bullets, has enough oomph for heavy bullets and are just a plain a blast to shoot. I personaly prefer the 22-250 Ackley.

i have a 22-250 that i love, shoots like a dream. tried it in factory class with bad results. barrel gets to hot and groups open up. everyonr else shoots 223, so i bought one love it too.
if you are varmit hunting 22-250 is the way to go, but if ot is target, 223 seems like the round.

i've read from precision shooter magazine that the 90s tend to not show up on target if loaded above 3000 fps. find some thick jacketed 90s and you should be okay.
