I'm trying to get a couple of fire-formed cases for the BRX for a project I'm working on. Can anybody help. I have money.

Ray,

If nobody chimes in, give Rick Beginski a call. He's done up some BRXs lately, though at least one was a 22 BRX if I recall.

Yep, I know Rick. I'll give him a call.

I thought the BRX was a popular round and that I would get a lot of responses. I guess the "Improved" versions of the BR are where the guys are going.

Thanks,

There may be more Dashers than BRXs out there, but I think the performance is nearly identical. With the Dasher and its 40-deg shoulder you get very stable brass. Downside is the price of custom dies. With the BRX you can use standard seating dies and you can get by with a standard FL sizing die if you don't run your loads too hot. Though eventually most guys get a custom FL or body die so they can size farther down the base.

Mark Schronce is running two BRX guns now and he is very happy with them. He tried a 6XC but he says the BRX shoots tighter with fewer brass issues.

FYI, there is a BRX diagram on our Case diagram page" http://www.6mmbr.citymaker.com/i/Tech%20Diagrams/6BRX.png

This is a custom print I made up, measuring off fired samples Bob Crone gave to me. The shoulder dimension may be a little bigger than what you get from Beginski.

Nice looking rifle!

One tip on posting pictures. You attached them perfectly. But, the file size is a lot larger than they need to be. Using a FREE program such as Irfanview, when you resize your picture you can save them at about 75-80% quality. They will look virtually the same, but load 4 times as fast. We also recently had to pay for more bandwidth to host photos, so every little bit helps.

Here is one of your pictures. The original (as attached above) was 218kb. This is 27kb. I used Irfanview to crop slightly, color correct and sharpen, and I still managed to reduce the file size dramatically.

This was hosted by http://www.tinypic.com which we recommend. If you use a third-party host we recommend 440 pixels max width.
