Just wondering if anyone has any new load data using lighter bullets in the 6x47. Primary interested in the 80 to 90 range bullets. Anyone using RL15 or RL17? Got a new 10 twist short throat gun. Any new data appreciated. Thanks.

I just got a similar rifle and have just tried my intial run of 85 and 105 grain hunting bullets. I found 40 grains of Re 17 max in my rifle with the 105 grain Speer Hotcore and 42.0 grains with the 85 grain Speer boattail. Groups at 100 yards were less than 1/2 moa which I thought acceptable for hunting loads. I just got a box of 95 grain VLD's to try and I imagine that I might get groups much smaller. I tried H4350 and got groups that were about the same. I have no idea what velocity I was getting but I am definitely minute of antelope with accuracy!

As Stan stated in his gun of the week write up the Berger Varmint/Match Grade 88gr FB bullets also shot extremely well out to 500yds in my 8tw 28" Bartlein barrel. I'm pushing them with H4350.
Good luck

RJ - Wondering if you could give me an idea on how much 4350 your using with the 88's in your gun.
