Over the weekend dragged out my old H&R 5200. It always liked the Lapua scoremax ammo, but I find that was discontinued years ago. Anybody know of a alternative?

I would try the new Lapua offerings first. Then maybe get some Eley stuff as well. If these are a little pricey for you give the Wolf or SK Jagd ammo a try. As you probably know, every rimfire has it's own likes and dislikes as far as ammo goes.

Wolf and Sk JG is Lapua' Just different factorys .
The headstamps are the same. Lapua midas l or m is pretty good but i think the sk math extra is a tad less expensive About $6.50 to $7.00 a box delivered. It in short supply also .

FYI, Scoremax used a heavier 48gr bullet. It was designed for hunting in Finland, and was the only subsonic RF ammunition which could be legally used for hunting (150J muzzle energy limit). Of course there's Aguila SSS, but it won't stabilize in most guns.
