I have white blueing salts seeping aroung the front of the receiver on a rebarreled bolt rifle. I don't think it was rinsed enough after blueing. I clean it off and soak with Kroil
over nite. Keeps coming back. Is there any way to stop this short of boiling in water the receiver/barrel? Are the barrel threads rusting away inside the receiver?
Any suggestions??

Thats the exact reason it's creeping.. Seems like it takes forever to be rid of it..
If you can, do the boiling water trick to it.
Or just keep pouring the Kroil to it, till it's gone...
If the barrel has never been off the action, it probably isn't rusting...
If the barrel was replaced it should of had a assembly lube applied to the threads
when it was installed, and that will keep it from rusting too......
