Ok here is the question, is the Bushnell 3200 10x40 scope exceptable for long range tactical shooting? I've used one out to 500 yards and have found little fault with it, but haven't tried it past that range.
I've been on other forums and noone has been able to answer< most shout get a leupold, or a NF.> I know from other posts I've read everyone here is very eager to help, so if anyone has any experience with this scope please let me know what you have determined. Thanks in advance.

I find on other forums like sniper central, alot of people use 10X for ranges like 800 yds but I prefer at least 14 - 16X for my tired eyes. If your thinking of doing precision paper punching I think you'd be better off with a higher powered scope.
I use a 4X14 IOR for shooting out to 800 yds but I'm not competing. If you feel comfortable with a 10X scope, don't let any one change your mind!
Good luck to ya!

Look at the SWFA's 10X Super Sniper. Twice the internal elevation and better glass(IMO). For $300 new (with rear parallax adj.) it is hard to beat.
Have one on my M1A and love it. Good amount of eye releif and I still have 70 moa of elevation with a 100m zero.

I have several SWFA scopes and love them, for the money they are hard to beat. I have the 20X on my 338 Lapua, and the 10X on a Custom 308, but before I had the 20X the 10 X sat on top of the 338 and worked great, I was confident with it out to 800 yds, but after that I felt that I needed the 20X. But I know several Fellas out at the LR club that only use 10X and shoot great groups. its all what your eyes can handle
