Hey folks, I'm looking to get started with a 6BR or maybe 6 Dasher project. I'm looking for a good gunsmith in Southern California. I know Stu Harvey does good work up in Sacramento, but I'd rather find somebody who has a shop I can drive to.

If that doesn't work, is there someone you'd recommend in Nevada or Oregon?

In California I doesn t know any gunsmith and hoppes for California shooter are allowed to still shoot

In oregon

PAC NOR make nice barrel fitting with a broad range of caliber/ barrel choice and PAC NOR barrel are very good

Holland gunsmithing make very nice job but cost is highter than PAC NOR ( for barrel fitting only )

in Nevada

near California border in Sparks NV , Randy Dierks make very nice LR rifles and Randy is a skill LR/BR shooter too

Arizona is closer to south of California and you have gunsmith in Tucson or Phoenix

Good shooting

Hey LawDog, You might want to give Gene Luke at Precision Arms in Escondido a call.He has a few local gunsmiths that do everything from re-barrels to complete builds. His business is primarily aimed at the tactical/LE crowd, but he's starting to have more and more benchrest rifles. He was up at the SF gun show last week and had 3 bench guns, numerous tacticals, even a few 50's.He also has a website: http://www.precisionarms.com.His Ph# is760-489-1212
Good luck
