Thinking of building a 6mm dasher on savage target action just for playing with on the bench and for a little varmit hunting. Any thoughts or comments on this.

I have a 6 Dasher built on a RBLP Target Action... though mine was built for target shooting at distance, so it has a fast twist and throated accordingly.
I'd highly recommend sending the bolt off to Gre-Tan Rifles to have the firing pin hole bushed - the stock firing pin hole tends to have some excess space around it (most factory actions do) which leads to premature primer cratering with even mild loads in 6mm BR & 6 Dasher. Gre-Tan drills out the hole, welds in a plug, faces it, drills & reams a new hole, and then turns the firing pin to fit. Roughly $65 and takes about a week, round trip from your door to his and back again. Well worth it, IMHO.
Good luck on your project,

If you are going to use it just for fun i would build a 6br with a no turn neck. That way you don't have to go though the hassle of firer forming your brass.
