Nat:

I was curious why jewell never made a savage trigger... thanks for the info.

I have the evolution trigger from sharp shooter supply (installed by Fred Moreo) and I absolutely love it! I would not hesitate to get another one, or recommend it to someone building a savage bench rig. I've never had the pull measured, but I can tell you that it's about as light as I would want it to be. (I would be shocked if it measured more than 2oz). I've had 2 occasions where I bumped (barely touched) the trigger well before I was ready to shoot. The gun was pointed at the target both times, but it scared the hell out of me!

This is the model without a safety, so if a safety is needed, then stay away from this trigger. I would never put this thing on a hunting rig... it would be extremely dangerous, especially if moving around the field.

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on Savages, but isn't there a trigger available on Savage target rifles that can be set from 6 oz to 1 lb. ??
