Competition shooters are mostly interested in how well bullet holes can be resolved at long distance, under good conditions. How about a comparasion of each - say at 600 yards using 6mm or larger bullets, with side by side comparison?

i will certainly try this test, but i already know which will win.
The March has better resolution and contrast and at X50 i was able to 'examine' wood grain at 250m (happened to be a neighbours wood grain, so best we dont tell him). The march did a better job than the S&B and dont forget, the March has another X10 more to go. Without a doubt, the S&B would be very, very good at resolcing distance bullet holes, but the March is top dog.

which reticle is in the March?
Does it have the target knobs or tactical knobs?
Does anyone care to comment on the target vs. tactical March knobs?

Great report!!! I am still waiting on my Schmidt and bender 12.5-50 PMII. Mine will have the 1/8 m.o.a per click though and not the 1/4 yours has. That March must be a great scope though as everyone seems to love them.
Doesn't Schmidt and Bender has a 10 year warranty( not 5)?
Thanks again for taking the time to compare and report..
