I am new to f-class and was wondering if it is possible to have a rifle that will compete with the top shooters for under $2500 (I understand it is a combination of rifle and shooter but right not my primary concern is the rifle)?
If so, could you please give some recommendations for someone who will shoot primarily 600 yards but occasionally venture out to 1000.

Thanks

I had BAT build a custom rifle for F class the cost
(less) scope was $2455. It is competitive with the
top fclass shooters. BAT 7.5" action, Krieger barrel,
jewell trigger, and a D$B stock.

$950 Barnard Action with Trigger, Triggerguard
$230 Shilen Match Select from http://www.thebarrelman.com
$360 Richard's Custom Rifles F-class Stock (Pillar Bedded)
$050 Burris Sig Zees, Weaver Base
$150 Chambering

$1740 Add a Sightron 36x and you're at about $2100. We'd spend the extra $60 or so for a Broughton, Hart, or Krieger though. Some good smiths charge more than $150 for chambering, but not all. A Stiller Viper is also a good option. $950 with rings and trigger guard (but no trigger).
