I've been following the NRA Highpower championships at Perry via the NRA web site. Sherri Gallagher just finished setting a new national record (and national matches record) of 800-53x in an 800 pt match. She broke the old record set by Troy Lawton by 15 X's! Way to go Sherri!

Congrats to Sherri. Too bad the NRA blogsters retired to the bar instead of covering her shootoff with David Tubb to settle yesterdays tie for the Coastal Artillery Trophy. If anyone knows that outcome please post.
cheers,

Lige,
The results aren't final yet but they still show Sherri as first and David as second. I guess I will have to start watching the blog as I didn't know that there was a shoot-off between them.

Tubb got Sherri by one X in the shoot off today. Both Clean. Tubb with 8X and Sherri with 7X

I was really really really pullling for her. She still has that fantastic smile today after a slight Target identification problem on one shot. Its still not over but I was hoping she could pull it off. Nice things should happen to nice people like Sherri. She is as well mannered as they come.

Keep going kiddo its not over yet.

Hey Kevin,
I guess you are not at Perry this year, so what gives? Too much work at Berger Bullets?

I am not there this year due to an expected delivery by the stork on August 31st. Thank goodness the new baby (number 3) will be born after Perry or I would never hear the end of it for not being at the birthday parties in the future!

Kind of reminds me of Don Tuesaw, who missed his wedding anniversary for over 20 years, due to Perry! Don's wife must be a very forgiving woman. My wife would shoot me!

Later,

Theron

Hi Theron,
Congrats! If you're gonna miss Perry, I guess that's a pretty good reason. Better than mine, anyway; a massive bilateral pulomnary embolism. First time I've missed Perry in 15 years. I was packed and ready to go, but the morning we were to leave, I wound up going to the ER and stayed in ICU for the next five days. Doing better now, and should be back to shooting in no time. Update required here, too. I'm no longer with Berger. Lapua made me an offer that I just had to take, as it has afforded me the opportunity to get into some things I never would have if I'd have just stayed with the bullet end of things. Rimfire production, military liaison work, that sort of thing. Eric was very understanding about it, and there's no hard feelings on either end. Great folks at Berger, and I've got nothing but praise for them all. As for the Finns, I've known and used Lapua products for years, and they've always been first rate, quality stuff. So, I have no problems at all in representing them, and that's important to me. Great people to work with and for, and I've been really enjoying dealing with them. See what ya' miss out on when you don't stay in touch?

Wish I could have been there to see Sherri shoot the clean, thst would have been something. Especially since I was pulling Troy's target when he shot that first clean some years back.

Good talkin' to ya'!
