This is really addressed to Danny Reever since he's one of the match directors:

There are some serious rumors that the S'burg Monthly Hog Shoot is either on hold or canceled for 2005. I'm a member in good standing but haven't been to the meetings (enjoying the sun in Arizona for a few months) and I heard this at three of the local gun shops - the one where my wife tells people I live and a couple I visit from time to time.

Please say it isn't so.... this was gonna' be my year!

ABSOLUTELY NOT! We are definitely a go. Go to our web page http://www.shippensburgfishandgame.com for the dates etc. The first Match is on April 23rd.

This rumor was started by a few malcontents who had a falling out with our clubs board of directors, and who have now started their own match's elsewhere on the same dates in an effort to undermine our matches.
I won't name names, but most know who they are anyway. It is unfortunate that some adults must act as spitefull children, but that's the way it is sometimes.

At any rate we will be open for business as usual with all the 500 meter mirage that everyone has come to love! LOL!

Dave,

Would you do me a big favor? Print out our flyer from the web page and when you get to those gun shops please drop one off to help dispell all the nasty rumors. I'd really appreciate it!

Danny,

Send me an e-mail at patroutbum@yahoo.com or a call at 717-486-4347. The one page flyer that used to be there is gone and what I guess we should be doing is putting a stack of both pages that were posted at the club in as many shops as we can.
