i have been using the RSR lately. i have used lawton and stiller remington clones in the past and neither holds a candle to the surgeon RSR. when you have them sitting in your hands, you will know what i mean. the tolerances on the rail are so close that they actually snap into place before you lock them down with the screws which happen to be oversized. the rail is also double pinned to the top of the receiver and the recoil lug is DOUBLE pinned as opposed to the single pin in other clones. the only receivers that are remington clones that are as good or better are the surgeon with integral lug and rail and the bat VR. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED IN A SURGEON of any model for any application other than 100/200yd benchrest. i am not sure it wouldnt work fine for that either.
