Holy moly! a .749" by Mark...

and a 1.5+" Aggregate by Brady.

Amazing. Pleased to see Mark Schronce get that record. He has worked very hard over the years and was one of the early contributors to this website.

Spoke to Mark this evening. He was shooting a .271 no-turn neck 6 BRX with naked Berger 105gr VLD bullets off the new die, set about .020" into the lands. Powder was Varget 33.0+ fired with Federal 205m primers. The load is not that hot--velocity is around 2975 fps. Mark said the conditions were "moderately bad--not much wind, but a lot of mirage".

Mark said he's shot under 1.5" in 600-yard competition two or three times and this rifle has delivered many 4-shot clusters under 1". This time that fifth stayed in the group. Mark shoots one of the very first Franklin LowRider stocks, and he lightly grips the gun, with a little bit of cheek and shoulder pressure.

That's one hell of a nice group... Well done Mark. This would be equivalent to a 0.1248" at 100 yards. Wow.

Great job Mark! I'm really glad to see that since I just had my new rifle barrelled in the 6BRX copying you and Isenhour. Mine's in shipping right now from Mike Davis and the cases for fireforming are sitting ready for final sizing of the false shoulders. Thanks for the incentive Mark! Go a little easier so I won't have quite so high a mark to beat.
