Reply with quote | #3 | I measured 200 std 6br Lapua cases after fireforming once in a std chamber. I got 39grH20 +/-.3gr. I kept those which were +/-.1gr for group shooting. |

Reply with quote | #4 | Cappi,
I measured a few before fire-forming and then again after:
Lapua Brass / .271 Neck:
Before = 37.2gr
After = 40.7gr
Difference = 8.6% / 3.5gr
On a side note here, capacity will very from chamber to chamber and from different lots of brass.
Happy Shooting

Reply with quote | #5 | My 6BR after firing and FL sizing in a Redding die is 38.4 grains H20, with a spent primer in the case. As others have noted, that number will vary slightly depending on brass lot, chamber dimension, and how tight your FL sizing die is. |
