I am thinking i would like to have a fast twist 22cal hunting rifle. I am thinking ether 22x47L or a 22-250AI. I was also thinking about buying a used tikka t3 and using the action for this project. The tikka has a nice smooth bolt, decent trigger (good enough for a hunting rifle) and i like the clip idea for hunting as well. I was hoping that i could buy a shilen match barrel and have it chambered then installed on untouched tikka t3 action. I just wonder how square a tikka action would be? Do you think i can get away with this, and not have to true up the tikka action? Again, this will be a knock around hunting rifle steel plate shooter. Also if you want to chime in on the 2 different chamberings. I am not sure what one i will do. The 22-250Ai seems to be in the lead a little at this point simply because of reloading die options. The 22x47 would be pretty cool though. Anyway, thanks as always!! Lee
