Here are some pics of my new Dasher its been a long wait but worth it it is a Dale Target rifle that i have converted for F Class and 500m Fly Shooting aswell as 600 and 1000 yard light gun.

The Fire Form load is 30.0gr AR2206H (H4895) and the Formed load is 34.0gr AR2208 (Varget) both with Lapua brass Rem 7 1/2 primers and Molly 107gr Sierra MatchKing into the lands. i still have some work to do am trying up to 33gr AR2206H with the 107 in a fire formed case. Do not use these loads in your rifle start at least 2 grains below and work up slowly. It has a 26" Maddco barrel and a friend painted the old Walnut stock that had sling holes and dings all over it.

The pics are only low res to make them smaller. The groups were fired at 300 yards Prone on a bald Eagle rest.

Beautiful rifle Bill, and nice groups. Hope you enjoy it a lot. I love my 6 Dasher/6.5-284 BAT switch barrel, but I like the Dasher set up the best. I'm in the process of building a 6 Dasher, long range varmint/carry rifle. I expect it will be a little heavy. What would you use for an action? Why do you have different powder numbers? Isn't Varget and 4891, etc, and all Hodgen powder made in Austrailia?

That 6mm Dasher is quite impressive. Nice groups, have you cronographed that particular load? I believe the Dasher will be my next rifle, 1000 yard benchrest profile built for varmints.

Hi the velocity is 2960fps. I am selling this rifle for $3000 Australian. It has under 600rounds through it and i can also have the barrel set back 1/4" and re crowned if the purchases wanted it. It comes with dies cases and the weaver 36 power scope ready to shoot.

Hi Bill,

What is the action? Is it a sleeved Omark?

Bill, Just one other question I take it a 500m Fly match consists of 5 targets, if you hit the fly once on two targets do you get a patch for each target or just one patch??

Hi Ian the action uses an Omark bolt but the action is one piece and has a piece reoil lug tig welded to the action body.

As for the fly's you get one for every target and if you hit multiple fly's on one target you get a patch with the number of flys you hit.
